Duck natural mating technology

Natural mating is a method of mating male and female ducks in a watery environment. The breeding season is generally from February to June every year, that is, from the beginning of spring to the end of the summer solstice. Naturally matched with large groups of breeding and small groups of breeding in two ways.

1. Large group breeding. The male and female ducks are reared in a certain proportion, and the size of the group depends on the size of the breeding duck group and the area of ​​the breeding environment. Generally, ponds, rivers and lakes are used to allow ducks to play and mate. This method can make every duck have the opportunity to mating freely with the female duck, the fertility rate is higher, especially the grazing duck group fertilization rate is higher, suitable for reproductive production groups. However, attention should be paid to the fact that the age and constitution of the breeder must be similar when the breeding group is in large groups, and the poorer and older breeders have no ability to compete and are not suitable for large group breeding.

2. Small group breeding. Each male duck and the female ducks responsible for breeding are raised in a single room so that each male duck will breed with the designated female ducks. A water barrier is provided for each breeding stall to allow the ducks to mate. Both the male and the female ducks have their feet numbered. Each female duck lays eggs at a fixed laying nest at night, and the ducklings record the male and female duck feet. This method can determine the parents of ducklings and is suitable for breeding ducks. It is a common method in duck farms.
