The first National Forum on Industrialization of Grouper Breeding and Breeding was well-qualified. Three academicians Qi Qi debuted in China. Artificial breeding tests of blue grouper and red grouper began from the 1980s, but the survival rate has so far been It is generally difficult to break through 10%, and it is impossible to achieve large-scale production of seedlings. The survival rate of artificial breeding of adult fish is only 40%. From December 19 to December 21, the first “Forum of Grouped Fish Breeding and Aquaculture Industrialization” was held at Sun Yat-sen University. Lin Haoran, Lei Yilin, and Mai Kangsen attended the ceremony and focused on germplasm degradation and disease spread. Two problems hampering the industrialization of grouper development have been discussed by experts on genetic breeding, disease, and nutrition.

According to Chen Liangyu, deputy director of the Guangdong Ocean and Fisheries Bureau, at present, there are more than 500 million mu of grouper fish breeding in Guangdong, accounting for 60% of the country's aquaculture area. In 2009, the total production reached 62,000 tons. However, after years of development, there are still many problems that restrict the industrialization of grouper. It is reported that the main grouper is currently grouped with blue grouper, tiger spot, dragonfly, etc., among which the blue group spot (Tangtou price) is more than 40 yuan/jin, and the most expensive dragonfly is more than 100 yuan/jin.

"The industrialization of grouper aquaculture will face two problems in the future." Academician Lin Haoran pointed out that, on the one hand, most of the current grouper aquaculture uses the traditional "chilled feeding + fish raft" breeding method, resulting in resources Consumption and environmental pollution. At the same time, the technical basis of grouper fish breeding is weak, and the breeding experience is not mature enough. At present, the feedstuff R&D and fish basic physiology research are the biggest short boards in the industrial structure. On the other hand, the demand for grouper fish will increase in the future market. How to implement the national energy conservation and emission reduction, quality and safety, environment-friendly and high-efficiency low-carbon in the process of expanding the grouper aquaculture industry? There are many issues that need to be solved in aquaculture production.

Experts also pointed out that the breeding of grouper species also severely restricted the development of the industry. For a long time, most of the grouper fry were from natural fishing or imported from abroad. Although in recent years China has carried out research on artificial breeding of grouper, there are not many mature technologies that can be applied in production. "The main problems are low survival rate and poor stability. The survival rate is generally difficult to exceed 10%." Professor Liu Xiaochun of Institute of Aquatic Economic Animals, Sun Yat-sen University, China introduced blue grouper and red grouper spot from the 1980s. Artificial breeding tests for fish have so far failed to achieve large-scale seed production.

“In addition to the issue of grouper breeding, there is also a certain problem in the division of labor for nursery work.” Liu Xiaochun believes that the current phenomenon of “a unit that takes care of the entire nursery process” in nursery education is very likely to cause problems in one production process, leading to the entire All efforts are wasted. Therefore, he suggested that in view of the high technical requirements for grouper fish breeding, each unit should be divided specifically according to the broodstock breeding, seedling hatching and other processes to reduce the risk of nursery. Chen Gang, a professor at the Fisheries College of Guangdong Ocean University, agrees with Liu Xiaochun. In addition, he emphasizes: “The problem of broodstock will affect the quantity of eggs laid and the quality of eggs, and raising the quality of broodstock is the top priority in developing the nursery industry.”

In addition to seedlings, the issue of disease has also become the focus of discussions among experts present. “The disease caused by the artificial breeding of grouper is serious, and the general survival rate is only 40%, and some new infectious virus diseases have begun to spread.” Qin Qiwei, South China Sea Fisheries Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, said. It is understood that the current grouper disease mainly includes iridescent virus, neuronecrosis virus, and Vibrio. In 1994 and 1998, two large-scale outbreaks of iridescent virus disease in southern China caused devastating blows to grouper fish farming. In addition, marine fish vibriosis has become a common disease affecting the growth of grouper fish. The mortality rate is as high as 90%. The meeting believes that only breakthroughs in these two issues can promote the development of the entire industry.

The conference was co-sponsored by Sun Yat-sen University and Guangdong Oceanic and Fisheries Bureau.
