Hemophilia B is a coagulopathy caused by the lack of coagulation factor in the body. The disease is a hereditary disease. The disease is mainly male, characterized by spontaneous or trauma-related bleeding. The bleeding site is mainly in the joints, soft tissues and muscles.

According to the introduction of Yang Renchi, director of the Hemostatic Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (Hematology Research Institute), currently there are 9804 hemophilia patients registered in the country, but the actual number of patients is far more than this, including patients with hemophilia B. About 15% to 20%.

Affected by many factors, China's domestic supply of blood products is relatively tight. As the only therapeutic drug for patients with hemophilia B in the country, the prothrombin complex in the country at the end of 2011 has suffered from various degrees of shortage in the country, and even some cases have been broken.
