Heilongjiang: Food Safety Improvement Measures

Recently, Heilongjiang Province held a provincial food safety risk inspection site experience exchange meeting. The meeting decided that Heilongjiang Province will use school canteens, bazaars, and urban-rural junctions as the focus of food safety risk investigations. The focus of food product investigations is dairy products, Cooking oil, meat, alcohol, food additives, health foods, etc., and the establishment of food safety hazards distribution map, introduced measures for the management of hidden dangers.

Heilongjiang Province will establish a sound risk assessment system that meets the actual needs of food safety work and achieves full coverage from farmland to table. The meeting called for the prioritization of enterprises that have experienced food quality problems, complaints, reports, and other adverse records; focused on investigating the illegal use of illicit drugs in planting and breeding areas, illegally adding non-edible substances in production and illegal use of food additives, and selling illegally in circulation. Problems such as deteriorating expired foods, and in-depth investigations of sources of hidden dangers such as counterfeiting, sale of fake “black workshops”, “black dens”, and transportation and warehousing industries.
