Seedling transplants, especially long-distance transportation and planting, are significant for the survival and growth of trees. According to recent work practices, the author summarizes the planting techniques for seedling transport as follows.

Soil Improvement and Site Preparation

Before planting seedlings, soil thickness and soil physical and chemical properties in the area should be measured and analyzed, and measures such as disinfection, fertilization and soil exchange should be taken.

Before the planting, the soil contains construction waste soil and other harmful components, as well as acidic soil, strong alkaline earth, saline soil, etc., and soil replacement or technical measures for soil improvement shall be taken according to design requirements.

Construct terrain, flatten and remove debris, flatness and slope should meet the requirements.

Determine the good line spacing dig hole. The size of the hole depends on the size of the seedling root system two or three times. When digging, the surface soil is separated from the underlying soil.

According to the need, put some manure at the bottom of the hole and mix well with the soil. Sprinkle a layer of topsoil of 5 to 8 cm thick to separate the manure from the roots of the seedlings.

Seedling transport and planting

The amount of seedlings to be transported should be determined according to the amount of planting, and must be planted in time after being transported to the site.

The seedlings with soil seedlings should be lightly loaded and loaded when loading and unloading vehicles, and seedlings and loose balls must not be damaged. When the earth ball seedlings are loaded, the earth ball should be forward and the canopy should be discharged neatly according to the driving direction of the vehicle. Flowers and shrubs can be loaded upright when transported. Seedlings should be planted in time after being transported to the site. Sprinklers should not be planted until the soil ball is moistened.

Bare root seedlings When bare root trees are transported long distances, they should cover and keep the roots moist. When loading the truck, it should be arranged neatly; after the truck is loaded, the tree trunks are tied and cushioned to prevent the trunk from being worn out. Bare root seedlings must be planted on that day. Seedlings that cannot be planted on that day must be planted.

Pruning before planting

Before the seedlings are planted, the roots and crowns should be trimmed, and the smashing roots, roots and roots, and long roots should be cut off, and the crowns should be trimmed appropriately to maintain the ground and underground balance.

Tree deciduous trees with obvious trunks should maintain the original tree shape, appropriate thinning, short cuts on the strong buds of the main lateral branches, cut branches 1/5 to 1/3. The deciduous trees without obvious stems and branches are dense. The trees with a diameter of 10 cm or more can be dredged to maintain the original shape. The seedlings with a dry diameter of 5 cm to 10 cm can be selected to retain several lateral branches on the main trunk to maintain the original tree shape. Short cuts. Branches with evergreen trees with round crowns can be appropriately thinned. The seedlings on the top of the trunks of the branches and leaves may not be trimmed. When evergreen trees with rotiferous lateral branches are used as street greenery, two or three round rotiferous branches of the base can be cut off. Trees used as street trees should have a height of more than 3 meters, and all branches below the first branch should be cut off.

The shrubs with soil bulbs and flowering shrubs differentiated from flower buds of the previous year should not be pruned, and branches and diseased shoots can be cut off. Branches with thick shrubs may be sparsely planted. The shrubs with distinct branching and new flower buds are sheared along the tree and promote new branches. The shrubs and shrubs used as hedges can be pruned and trimmed according to design requirements after planting. For grafted shrubs, the following rootstock shoots should be cut off.

Seedling planting

Planting seedlings will be placed in the center of the hole so that the roots are naturally and reasonably distributed, and the soil ball seedlings need to be disentangled from the straw rope or plastic rope. When the soil is cultivated, the seedlings will be straightened and the seedlings will be gently lifted by 1 cm to 2 cm in the process of earth-cultivation, so that the root system will naturally stretch, and the soil will be tightly integrated with him, and the soil will be cultivated.

Watering water must be poured thoroughly. River water, groundwater, and tap water can all be used.

For the seedlings that are not suitable for survival, the mulch can be laid on the surface of the trunk to prevent evaporation of ground water, prevent soil compaction, increase ground temperature, and promote seedlings to germinate.
