This will promote the improvement and development of the entire drug standardization system and ensure the quality of the listed drugs.

Wang Lifeng, secretary general of the State Pharmacopoeia Commission, said that the Committee has added the remaining 285 essential drugs to this year's standard-raising task on the improved varieties standards of the 2010 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia. As of last month, the promulgation of new standards for essential drug quality has been completed.

Wang Lifeng said that the standard improvement work mainly involves three aspects. First, according to the most advanced pharmaceutical quality control concepts and technical requirements, injection standards have generally been improved. For example, allergy tests, pyrogens, hemolysis, and coagulation tests have been revised for all traditional Chinese medicine injections. Characteristic maps have been added to all varieties. Identification or fingerprint check items improve quality control. Second, according to the 2010 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, the varieties of Chinese medicines clearly define the names of prescription drug flavored pieces, unify the methods of concocting and decocting several varieties, and perform limited inspections on the tastes of some prescriptions that may be adulterated, using technical means to ensure The authenticity of the drug supply. Third, the standard is more specific.
