Recently, the on-site observation of sugarcane intercropping peanut cultivation technology was held in Luxin Town, Wuxuan County. 37 domestic authoritative peanut experts witnessed the success of Guangxi Sugan sugarcane intercropping peanut cultivation technology. The 200-acre perennial cane and the new planted sugarcane in the village of Luxin Town and Lulai Town are lush and green, and the flower growth potential of the intercropping is normal. On-site measurement shows that the peanut per mu intercropping yields 81-87 kg per mu, and the new per plant intercropping peanut yield is as high as 146.77 kg.

After repeated trials, they explored a set of mature and standardized cultivation techniques and formed the local standards of Guangxi. The innovations include the use of wide and narrow rows of sugar cane, wide line of 1.8 meters, narrow line of 0.6 meters, and peanuts between sugarcane wide rows. This spacing allows sugar cane and peanuts to make maximum use of natural resources such as sunlight, atmosphere and water. Improved the ability of sugarcane and peanuts to resist pests and diseases. In terms of fertilization, we have found a balanced fertilization technology suitable for acid soils in the south, and have been demonstrated in Wuxuan, Tianyang, Longzhou and other places. The result is that sugar cane production is equivalent to conventional planting, and it can also collect more peanuts.
