In 2004, the technology passed the results appraisal organized by the Science and Technology Department of Hubei Province. Compared with existing technologies of the same kind at home and abroad, this technology has the advantages of simple process, low consumption of original and auxiliary materials, high product yield, and significant technical features, reaching the international advanced level. This technology converts waste oils into biodiesel, realizes comprehensive utilization of resources, is conducive to the organic integration of agriculture and energy industries, is conducive to environmental protection, and has good economic and social benefits. At present, the market price of discarded oil is 2,100 yuan/ton, and the price of biodiesel is converted to 4,000 yuan/ton or more.
