1. Fertilization problems and fertilization principles

Insufficient supply of organic fertilizers for tea gardens, poor soil fertility, and poor water and fertility retention capacity. Some tea gardens use high nitrogen fertilizers, and the proportion of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers is insufficient. Mg, S, and boron are scarce in the presence of trace elements. South China and other tea regions are part of the tea plantations. Excessive application of nitrogenous fertilizer causes soil acidification to be more common and other issues. The following principles of fertilization are proposed:

(1) Adding organic fertilizer, organic and inorganic application;

(2) Based on soil fertility conditions and yield levels, appropriate reductions in nitrogen fertilizer use, enhancement of combined application of phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium fertilizers, and attention should be paid to sulfur, boron, and other nutrients;

(3) The tea garden where soil acidification occurs can be improved by applying dolomite powder, quicklime, etc.;

(4) Combined with high yield and good quality cultivation techniques.

2. Fertilizer amount and method

(1) General production of tea gardens: nitrogen fertilizer (N) 20 to 30 kg/mu, phosphate fertilizer (P2O5) 4 to 6 kg/mu, potassium fertilizer (K2O) 6 to 10 kg/mu.

(2) Magnesium-, zinc-, and boron-deficient tea gardens: The soil was treated with 2~3 kg/mu MgO, 0.7~1 kg/mu zinc sulfate (ZnSO47H2O), and 1 kg/mu borax (Na2B4O710H2O).

(3) Sulfur-deficient Tea Garden: Select Sulphur Fertilizers such as Sulfur

Ammonium, potassium sulfate, superphosphate, etc.

Fertilizers are applied in divided portions. Basal fertilizer: mainly organic manure, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium, trace element fertilizer, and the other 30% to 40% of nitrogen fertilizer is used for the whole year. It is applied from the end of September to the end of October after the end of the tea season. Base fertilizer is combined with deep plowing. Application, application depth is about 20 cm; Top dressing: mainly nitrogen fertilizer, pregermint fertilizer is applied about 30 days before harvesting spring tea, accounting for about 30% to 40% of the annual dosage, summer tea is topped with summer tea Before the tea begins to grow, it is usually in mid-to-late May. The dosage is about 20% of the whole year. Autumn tea is topdressed after the end of summer tea. It is usually applied in mid-late July, and the dosage is about 20% of the whole year.
