The researchers divided the subjects into two groups. One group took early meals, morning and evening meals were at 7:00 in the morning, 1 at noon, and 7 in the evening; while the other group had breakfast at 1 o’clock in the afternoon and the lunch time was At 7 o'clock in the evening, dinner is at 1 o'clock in the evening. As a result, it was found that although it was the same interval of six hours for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, people who ate late at night consumed less energy and were therefore more likely to become obese. Those who ate in the morning had more “powerful” energy consumption and were less likely to be obese. . The person who ate early in breakfast had an average energy consumption of one kilogram of body weight of 0.905 kcal, while those who ate at night had an average consumption of 0.595 kilograms of calories. This result shocked Professor Nakamura. Therefore, he suspects that the amount of energy consumed by the body may be closely related to the autonomic nerves that regulate visceral function.

Experts believe that with the development of entertainment such as television and games, people’s daily life habits tend to be more and more at night, especially in metropolises such as Tokyo.
